Wallace Challenge CompleteWallace Challenge Complete!

In 2006, The Seattle Public Library Foundation received an Excellence Award from the Wallace Foundation in the form of a 1:1 matching grant to create a $3 million endowment for cultural programming at the Library. The Foundation is pleased to announce it has successfully completed the challenge thanks to the support of more than 100 generous donors!

Homework Help Got Homework? The Library can help!

The Seattle Public Library’s 11 on-site Homework Help programs in branch libraries are places where more than 100 volunteers work with young people throughout the school year, where wonderful connections are made, where lives are touched and futures are changed. Last year this service helped more than 6,000 students improve their grades, have more confidence at school, and meet supportive mentors.
