Support Your Library

Seattle loves its libraries.  They enrich the lives of everyone in our community, regardless of age or economic circumstance.  Donating to The Seattle Public Library Foundation is a way for people who believe in the power of public libraries to change lives and to help keep our Library strong.

Thanks for your support with GiveBIG!

The Foundation sends a sincere thank you out to the 1,044 donors who responded to our call to GiveBIG for Books on May 2. We were thrilled by the response from the community. We received $128,635 in donations! Wow!

In a few weeks we will learn how much of the Seattle Foundation's GiveBIG stretch pool we have earned. A special thank you to our generous matching donors: Anne Repass, Jodi Green and Mike Halperin, Brian and Laurel Smith, Elizabeth Rudolph, Friends of The Seattle Public Library, and an anonymous donor. And congratulations to Beth Lynch, a Library staff member who was the winner of a GiveBIG golden ticket which earned us an extra $1,000!

These gifts, along with others we received yesterday, will go a long way to help expand the Library's collection and enrich the lives of everyone in our community.
